Intermediate week serves as a bridge between the Elementary and Junior High weeks. Our primary goal is to take advantage of this age group’s awakening spiritual awareness and curiosity, to begin to move them into a more mature understanding of their place in God’s story. To that end, we attempt to integrate the themes of our daily Bible classes, chapel, Praise Time (an age-appropriate hymn sing), campfire, and—where appropriate—evening activities, athletics, and cabin devotionals. Our other daily activities emphasize creativity and interaction, with a focus on trying new things and developing lifelong Christian relationships. With events such as water chaos, Romans Christians and Soldiers, the hunger games, and our late night story time, campers have the opportunity to meet new friends, laugh and play, and discover confidence away from home.
Jonathan has been the minister at GracePointe Church of Christ since 2014. He has worked in campus ministry, worship ministry and has been involved in Christian camps throughout his life as a camper, counselor, worship leader, bible teacher, and now director. He is married to Hayley who serves as a co-director for Intermediate Week and they have two children.
